Twitter and Google reportedly just made a big deal to put tweets in search results – Bloomberg

Micro blogging site Twitter has reached a deal with Google to make its tweets (140 character updates) more searchable online as reported by Bloomberg, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

According to the source Tweets will be visible in Google search results as soon as they are posted, starting during the first half of the year.

Twitter and Google engineers have started working on the project, Bloomberg added. Although, the terms of the deal were not disclosed yet.

Google previously had to crawl Twitter’s site for the information, which will now come automatically from Twitter.

Google and Twitter could not be reached for comment as Will Stickney, a spokesman for San Francisco-based Twitter, declined to comment. Jason Freidenfelds, a spokesman for Mountain View, California-based Google, didn’t immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
